We wrote this mythology with the aim of giving children something to read that is both educational and pedagogical, and also capable of making them love good books, steering them away from light, shallow, but often attractive children's literature. For this purpose, a special adaptation was needed that would bring the myth to life without deviating from its ancient structure. We believe that appropriate illustrations greatly assist in this goal. We used them generously, believing they would draw children to read the text and also help them understand the mythology in a more vivid way, so that it would be deeply imprinted in their minds. Special attention had to be paid to the adaptation of the text. To make the mythology attractive as a text is, of course, a matter of the author's abilities, and naturally, we did "our best." However, to make it a pedagogical book is a matter of perception, and this is where we want to focus. (. . .)
